Five times the height of the surrounding residences, with a diesel generator and poorly disguised "monopine" design, the proposed 5G tower is both ugly and completely outdated. Satellite enabled phones are the gold standard for emergency communications used by fire, police and rescue. This proposed project is dangerous and disruptive for residents, and unnecessary for visitors. Urge lawmakers to make decisions based on current available technology, not decades old options. Respect the land and community and stop this project immediately.

I Oppose the Tower
Residents and concerned citizens of Hāʻena/Wainiha are strongly opposed to a cell tower and communications facility in our community. We believe that this development will be a commercial use that is inappropriate for a rural neighborhood, and will have a negative impact on our community, culture, historic roadway, property values and quality of life.
